• The department of Paediatrics at Vinayaka missions Kirupananda Variyar medical college and Hospitals, Salem, provides state-of-the-art paediatric and neonatal care at individual and community levels.
• UG teaching programme started at 1995
• PG teaching programme started at 2009
• We provide preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative health care services for neonates, infants , children and adolescents .
• We provide round-the-clock, fully equipped Pediatric intensive care unit and Neonatal intensive care services by highly qualified paediatric and neonatal intensivists.
• Advanced diagnostic modalities support our services.
• Immunization services are provided on all days. All vaccines are stored and maintained in WHO-approved cold storage systems.
• Weekly camps are conducted in rural health centres.
• Regular outreach camps are conducted with other departments in and around Salem.
